March Full Moon and me

Winter’s end is close.  There is enough snowcover that the field is illuminated under the full moon, almost bright enough to read by. There’s such beauty in the winter’s full moons, as well as her dark times.

I value the dark times of the moon’s cycle for sleep, settling into night’s shadows to sleep. The March moon grows towards the next full moon, March 17.  Look outdoors for fairies dancing that night. Until then, sleep deeply while angels guardians  and hounds are on the watch.

Go to Sleep

Warm milk, chamomile tea in the Peter Rabbit mug.
Then temazapan, alprozolam, clonopin, Mozart
Chopin, on to Bach, chanting shanti and ohm

Next, counting backward and breathing slow
Onto walking –but not too fast,
yoga, stretching, and mediation’s touch.

Then kava, and chamomile, liver support,
hawthorn, l-theanine, gaba, 5htp,
passionflower, adrenal support for anxiety.

foam mattress on the bed
soft warm blankets tucked just right
contoured pillow under my head

thick curtains shut out moon shine
sleep come creep into bed
with me now.
