Ladies of the Forest

The Ladies of the Forest represent the nature spirits that  co-create with us, just around the curve of where we look. Sometimes we see them from the corners of our eyes.  Lady representations are made from  hops, applewood, rue, echinachea, St. Johnswort, mint, lemon balm, thyme, daylily, iris, and other bits and sparkles that have found their way into the forest and meadow outside my door.  Each Lady is made in a meditative experience, with her directing the process.

Dance at the End of Autumn

Find a path though

goldenrod, clover and hops.

Find warmth in the wool,

then dance barelegged on the earth.

Dance the circle of time,

the sound of fallen leaves

and broken twigs.

Dance when the first snowflakes fall.
